In 2026, the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China (CEFC) will award scholarships for doctoral students, for field research in China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. It is primarily intended to support data collection work in the geographical area covered by the CEFC (Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau).
As parts of the development of Franco-Chinese scientific cooperation, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) are setting up several research programs in 2023. Scientific cooperation to support the mobility of researchers between France and mainland China.
